Hire a notary, witnesses, or both, with the date, time, location and compensation.

Review the identity verification, badges and track record of the people who respond.
Confirm and pay
Confirm completion and pay through ActaVia. Payment is released to the worker within 5 business days after you confirm.

What kinds of opportunities can be posted?
Signing-support opportunities: in-person witnesses for a notary signing, and notary signings posted by businesses that need a commissioned notary. Each post includes the date, time, location and compensation.
What does it cost to join?
Joining is free. Witnesses pay no fees on their work and receive 100% of the agreed compensation; an optional Witness Pro plan adds extra tools, but you never need it to work. Posters pay a posting fee plus a service fee on top of the compensation. Notary plans lower or remove the posting fee depending on the plan, business plans remove it, and every plan starts with a free trial. See current amounts on the fee schedule.
How are users verified?
Every user who transacts verifies their identity with Stripe Identity (a government ID and a selfie): witnesses before taking or bidding on an opportunity, notaries before submitting their first state license, and businesses before posting. Notaries also upload their state license with proof of commission and E&O insurance, reviewed and approved by the ActaVia team. ActaVia does not run background checks.
Do I need an app?
No. You can use ActaVia on the web at getactavia.com today. iPhone users can also join our pilot app through Apple TestFlight, and the Android app is coming soon. Join the iPhone pilot (TestFlight).
